Hello,

I have updated to FF 14 on my phone, it works great (including the sync) but the live bookmarks on both my phone and desktop are empty now. How am I going to keep up with xkcd now? :(

Help greatly appreciated.

Nico

Hi,

I'm sorry you are having this problem with Firefox for Android and your live bookmarks. If you are still having this problem, can you tell me more about exactly what is happening? Maybe you could also attach a screenshot of what you are seeing on your desktop and I can get you some additional help?

Thank you, Michelle

Hi Michelle,

I have the same/similar problem, I installed the latest firefox mobile browser (v14.0) on my Android phone recently and it synced bookmarks as expected, I didn't check any live bookmarks at this point.

I logged into my desktop today and all (except one) of my live bookmark folders are empty.

The one that works is: http://feeds2.feedburner.com/techradar/allnews

One of the failing ones is: http://www.theregister.co.uk/headlines.atom (I think since it's been turned into an empty folder now!)

Thanks for the help.

Same thing happened to me - after upgrading to Firefox Mobile v14 all of my live bookmarks turned in to empty folders. I was able to resolve the issue by restoring the bookmark backup from a couple of days before I upgraded Firefox Mobile.

You should be able to get to that by pressing CTRL+SHIFT+B and clicking the Import and Backup button. Then restore from a date prior to installing Firefox Mobile. Note that I believe this overwrites your current bookmarks, so you may lose recent additions.

Hi all,

thanks for the tips, I didn't know there was a back up function either. I took the opportunity to clean up my live bookmarks and get rid of the ones I didn't really use and reinsert the others manually.

They live bookmarks do not show up on the Android Firefox though, and it looks like the sync has stopped importing new bookmarks.

Hi all,

Thanks very much for these additional details and the images, I've filed a critical bug for this issue here: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=770394
