How do I click on a toolbar icon that isn't there to close a tip?
This box appears on my screen whatever I do, and is proving impossible to remove because the icon, a white 0 in a green 'teardrop' is nowhere to be seen in my toolbars:

Download and Install MalwareBytes Anti-Malware, run a full Scan. http://www.malwarebytes.org/. This helps check that there are no viruses on your computer causing issues. You can uninstall this program after you clean off any infections.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

Very many thanks. The suggestion to "Reset Firefox" did the trick, so the infuriating image is gone and my screen is back to normal
Resetting Firefox is good temporarily. Restarting Firefox in SAFEMODE is good temporarily. Getting rid of the DoNotTrackPlus plug-in/extension is good...and...the permanent fix to this issue.
