I created a Firefox Persona, and getpersonas.com told me to make it 3000x200px, but it is too large
When I tested it out on Firefox before submitting it to getpesonas.com, it was way too large at that size of 3000x200px, and did not show even half of it on the browser. I submitted it anyway, thinking that they do something to it in order to make it fit correctly in Firefox, but now that it has been approved and is available on the getpersonas.com website, it still does not fit for me in the browser at that large of a size, but the others on the site do for some reason. Why is that?
I resized it to something like 1200x115px, and it fits and looks how it supposed to look in my browser. So why did the website tell me to make it that large, when most people do not even have monitors that are 3000px wide? Even HDTV's only have 1000 and something pixels.

I tried to edit the Persona and replace the header image with the one that I resized to 1200x115px, but a message appears that says "Please make sure your header image is at least 2500x200 pixels (it appears to be 1200x115)". I thinking thinking the images are supposed to be resized somehow if it is supposed to be that large, am I wrong?
But I am certain that it will also be too large, since I had to resize it in steps down to 1200x115px in order to make it fit in the browser.
I am attaching images to this post, one that shows how it appears on the getpersonas.com website, and one that shows how the resized header looks in my browser, which I set by using the custom persona option after installing the Personas add-on from getpersonas.com.

Dimensions should be 3000px wide x 200px high PNG or JPG file format subtle, soft contrast images and gradients work best
I'm not sure what type of devices would have 3000px width screen resolution, but those are the specs Mozilla developed for Personas.
Just make sure that your image has most of the details in the upper right corner so it doesn't looked chopped off when used on a smaller resolution (width), or when the user displays only the default toolbars (height).
I modified one of the headers that I have so that the main stuff on the right side is 100px in height, with just a dark area underneath that. That image has the entirety of the logo on the top half of the 200px height. I also changed the width to 2500px. But it somehow still only shows about the top half of the logo and only part of the link that I have on there(www.eternalsurge.com), even though I made the link smaller.
So it is somehow showing the same or about the same area of the logo, even after changing the size of it, something is happening that causes it to only display the top half of the logo, even when it is about twice as small. In other words, when it is 115px or 200px height and the logo is almost the size of the full height, it is only showing around the top half of it. When the logo is only 100px in height and the image is 200, it is still somehow only showing the top. This is with the default view, except with the bookmark bar on.
Why doesn't Mozilla just make the image scale to the size of the browser window?
35,000+ Personas have been created, and are hosted at http://www.getpersonas.com/en-US/ - that size image seems to work fine for all 35,000+. If you want to do "things" differently, why not host your Persona yourself? And create an extension to allow user installation and storage (thus creating those permissions in Firefox) of your Persona from your own website.

As far as why, maybe someone in the Personas forum has that answer.
What makes you think that I want to do things differently? I want it to fit the logo so that it is visible in it's entirety and so that the surge of energy or whatever it is lines up with the address bar, and was having a problem with that not happening at the size that I was directed to.
But anyway, the image that I mentioned earlier, with the logo resized to the top half of the image, is working now that it updated on the getpersonas.com website with the bookmarks bar on, but it didn't for some reason when I tested it with the custom Persona thing. It still is not showing the whole length of the image, but it is better than not showing the entire ES logo.
I attached an image to this post that shows how it looks now. I also submitted a new version that lines it up a little better and put a thin orange line across the top of it.
And why did you put the word "things" in quotes?

Now I am having a problem on the page that has the persona on it on getpersonas.com. When I hover the mouse over it, the header of the browser changes to white or off white instead of displaying the header of the Persona. Why is that?
This is after the Persona got updated with a footer that has my Twitter URL and is supposed to have the updated header that I described in my previous post with the thin orange line across the top of the image, but it is not there for some reason for me anyway for some reason. Any ideas why that would happen?
I guess I will try to update the Persona again with the same image that I updated it with yesterday or last night. The one that has the thin orange line on the top.
