Why Yahoo Videos cannot be played in Firefox?
Error playing Yahoo videos Yahoo Video seriously struggles to load and give error every time I try to play. I have latest version of Adobe flash player installed and it works well for most of the other sites. So its a problem only related to Yahoo Videos site. Kindly do something on this. Thank you.

Then it may be proxy setting only. Let me repeat, our net here is using a proxy server with authentication scheme. Other websites like Youtube work well. There is problem with Yahoo videos only.
Also I tried using Firefox 24 beta version and flash 11.8 version, still not able to work. so still searching for a solution.
Let me know. Thank you in advance.
Any more help/ Are things working for anyone else/
Any more solutions available? I think mostly it is the proxy server issue.
I am having this issue as well. I have a new MacBook Pro, running Firefox 25.0 Yahoo! Edition yahoo - 1.25
I have Flash Player Plug-in version 11.9.900.117 is installed
The issue only occurs trying to play Yahoo videos. My machine was playing Yahoo videos fine, I started adding extensions and plug-ins to Firefox and the issue appeared. I have tried playing Yahoo videos on Safari and it works fine.
I am not an expert by any means at checking all the settings and functions, but if more information is required of me I would be happy to try and supply it. I think the issue may have begun when I added cookie blocker from the Firefox extensions, but again I'm no expert at double checking these things.
Please email me any info on the problem as I am a dedicated Firefox user and hate having to swap browsers to watch certain videos. The problem may be related to
Hi yamamabad, to see whether one of your extensions might be causing the issue, could you try Firefox's Safe Mode? That's a standard diagnostic tool to bypass interference by extensions (and some custom settings). More info: Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode.
You can restart Firefox in Safe Mode using
Help > Restart with Add-ons Disabled
In the dialog, click "Start in Safe Mode" (not Reset)
Any difference?
I had the same problem playing some yahoo video...FFv24 was ok until v25.. here what I found.....the problem...
If you disable extension "HTTPS everywhere"
video will be played ok...
Gewysig op
To anyone with this problem, well how horrible is this, I installed the "HTTPS everywhere" extension and then looked for a Yahoo video, I found one and it played but then the second and any further video does not play. I went in and disabled the extension and restarted my browser but it didn't work.
Def feel like its the right track though. I will keep on this and see if I can discover anymore.
Not sure if you meant "installed https".. try reset "https everywhere" as well..
Yes, I couldn't find it in my extensions so I installed it and one video played and then it stopped working. I tried disabling and resetting to default and I have not had any luck yet.
Are you on v25? If you don't have it...then you don't need it.. try to go safe mode...and see if you have problem...if no...then disable the extension ..plugins one by one.... this is how I found my issue... prior to v24....this troubleshooting method won't work ...as it was definitely an issue with FF and Yahoo.
I tried playing the same video on 2 different machines.
Only difference was, the internet connection.
Place where I have internet connection through proxy server with authentication, it failed to play in spite of having all the plugins.
Whereas, the place where it was direct connection to internet, it played even with older version and also with newer version.
This indicates, use of proxy server with authentication is creating problems. Though I request someone else to confirm this once.
Thank you.
