Thanks much. I want to uninstall it because I don't use it and fear that it slows my PC. I already have that document that you've provided. It didn't work. Further, I cannot pull up either of those helper.exes. Where would I enter those C:\Program Files that you cite?
It shouldnt slow your pc, have you peformed a reset to turned off hardware acceleration, it could fix your problems.
- Troubleshoot extensions, themes and hardware acceleration issues to solve common Firefox problems
- Refresh Firefox - reset add-ons and settings
About the helper.exe It is located under Computer > C drive > Program Files > Mozilla Firefox > helper.exe
What version of Windows are you running?
What Firefox version are you running?
- 1. Go to "My Computer"
- 2. there will be a sidebar to the left
- 3. Look for add or remove programs.
If that didn't work, then I'm not sure what else does, it's just another way to get to the add or remove programs.
Sometimes the Windows Installer has too many half-finished jobs pending and you need to restart Windows before it will resume working correctly.
If the uninstaller still doesn't work after restarting Windows, it might help to reinstall Firefox to repair any broken parts. You can reinstall from:
https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/fx/#desktop
Then try uninstalling again.
If none of the solutions above work, I can help you manually uninstall it from your computer.
