why do my bookmarks show .url?
when i migrated to firefox, all my current bookmarks moved over without error. only exception is that each book mark has a .url extension. I can remove them, just a royal pain to do it for over 100 bookmarks. is there a simpler solution for this issue??

I'm not sure why that happened.
You could delete those automatically imported bookmarks and re-import them a different way. This involves creating an export file in IE (assuming they are IE Favorites) and importing that file.
