I set my remember usernames and passwords, but when i go back i have to sign in all over again instead of being able to click on the bookmarks and sign in automatically. Why?

hello terrace, websites usually set cookies to store the information that your browser is currently logged in, so please make sure that the websites where you want to stay logged in are allowed to set cookies, that they are not cleared when you close firefox & you're not using any external program or extension which is interfering with the cookie management in firefox...

The email address and password dots are there but instead of signing straight in from a bookmark i have to click "sign in". see photo. All i need is to click on a bookmark and have it sign straight in.

That is not possible if you end up on the login page.

The web page shows a "Remember me" checkbox that will create a cookie on your computer.
If that cookie is lost then you will have to go via the login page to reach a web page that you can only access if you have authenticated yourself.

Did you create a cookie allow exception for this domain?

  • Tools > Options > Privacy > Firefox will: "Use custom settings for history" > Cookies > Exceptions

You can inspect and manage the permissions for the domain in the currently selected tab via these steps:

  • Click the "Site Identity Button" (globe/padlock) on the location bar
  • Click "More Information" to open "Tools > Page Info" with the Security tab selected
  • Go to the Permissions tab (Tools > Page Info > Permissions) to check the cookie permissions for the domain in the currently selected tab

I may have it right now. All of my bookmarks sign in by clicking on it. See my settings in my attachments.
