Running Thunderbird in Linux.

Thunderbird had been set up with two account names related to two ISPs but I now use only one of these but cannot get rid of the old account. I made a copy of the old Inbox in Local Folders and deleted the original. There appears to be no option for removing an account, only adding new ones.

Whenever I open the write dialogue I have to select the sending address which always defaults to the old account which is no longer in use, so how does one change the order of the addresses so that it is not necessary to remember to choose the address every time?

Select the outgoing server (SMTP) entry and set the desired one as default, or delete the unused SMTP server.
