help....my mailboxes, emails, & folders have disappeared

Thunderbird's data is stored in a profile folder. Are the files still there? Perhaps you are using other software that moved the files or you moved them?
This documentation on Thunderbird profiles should help locate the files and confirme they are there, and optionally recover them if they were moved.
