Auto updated to 36.0 Downloadhelper doesn't work, is there a fix or can I revert (Knowing you don't like users to revert to older versions) ?
Download helper addon doesn't download anymore. I have deleted it and re-installed but no luck. I am thinking the updte to 36.0 may be at the root of this. I realize you discourage users from reveting to older versions but I would really like downloadhelper to function.
Any thoughts ?

Firefox 36 at the moment is on the Beta not the Release channel.
That may have flashplayer and HTML5 changes that potentially could impact on download helper.

You could downgrade to the Release
