Galaxy S4

I am getting the following error when trying to access a page that I must use several times a day

>>Secure Connection Failed

An error occurred during a connection to crew.lirr.org. Cannot communicate securely with peer: no common encryption algorithm(s). (Error code: ssl_error_no_cypher_overlap)

The page you are trying to view cannot be shown because the authenticity of the received data could not be verified.
Please contact the website owners to inform them of this problem.<<

The FF for desktop forum solved a similar problem for me by having me go into about:config and adding the site to security.tls.insecure_fallback_hosts as an exception.

After typing about:config you can tap the Go button on the keyboard (or the symbol for Enter/Return). That should display a screen listing preferences starting with accesssibility.accessfu.activate.

Tap the search line at the upper right and type or paste tls and then pause while the list is filtered.

If you scroll down, you should find and be able to tap security.tls.insecure_fallback_hosts and then, as a second step, tap in the blank space below it to enter your host name.

I haven't tested the fallback function on Android myself. Does it work?

You can use the same work around for FF for Android as for the desktop version.

How do I do that? There is no about:config and i looked around for a place to add an exception and could not find it.

Is there any reason you can't type about:config into the URL bar?
