I think it was Trusteer thanks to HSBC! But it had been fine in FF for ages so something has changed in FF or Trusteer. I have added start trusteer and stop trusteer buttons to the desktop to ebable it for Chrome when I do banking.
Any other thoughts?

That is a problem with Trusteer software (RapportTanzanxx.DLL). Make sure that you have the latest updates of your Trusteer software. You can try to contact Trusteer for support.

Try to update or uninstall and reinstall Trusteer Rapport and if that doesn't help then disable/stop the program for now.
- Start Menu > Programs > Trusteer Rapport > Stop Rapport
Mac:System Preferences -> Other -> Rapport -> Stop Rapport
As stated I now have start and stop Trusteer buttons onm the desktop to enable it for banking.
