Whenevner i try to connect to twitter ican't add a securty exception and this is what it says twitter.com uses an invalid security certificate. The certificate is not trusted because the issuer certificate is unknown. (Error code: sec_error_unknown_issuer)

It seems that some of unwanted security software like BrowserSafeguard,Browsersafe, SafeGuard or other software (that sounds suspicious and didn't get installed by you intentionally) are present in your pc. Remove them from system Control Panel and then try to reconnect twitter. Similar like question [Certificate issuer Unknown/SUMO1044431 ]

Before that have you tried to add an exception there in bottom and inspect the certificate in order to find out which issuer information it contains? ? See the Screenshot ?
