i bought a laptop and tablet a couple days ago and installed the latest version of firefox on both (as of 6/29/15). However, these two devices will not sync as far as i can tell, i.e. bookmarks toolbar, etc. do not match from one device to the other. My laptop is a refurb Toshiba running Windows 7 and my tablet is a new WinBook TW802 running Windows 8. I installed firefox on the laptop first and added bookmarks and folders to the bookmark toolbar, then installed firefox on the tablet. When i open firefox on either device, it shows me as being signed in under the same firefox account name.

I can see two things that might have gone wrong.

  1. Are you looking for a profile that was synced before you set it up? If so, without a local backup the last synced data may not sync down to a blank profile.
  2. I understand that you are looking at the Bookmarks Toolbar to be synced and the same on both the mobile device and the desktop. Please check that they are actually syncing in the "Desktop Bookmarks" Folder on the Mobile Device first. The two will merge however currently there are separate folders for mobile and desktop bookmarks.
