less is not more: Thunderbird 38 no longer supports addon for extra columns. How is that BETTER than the previous version??

changing the layout setting does add number of messages but no total size value as was in previous versions. Why even make changes or delete useful functions in updated versions??

Are you aware that this functionality is now built in? So the addon is supposedly redundant?

My recollection is that a similar mix of features remains accessible in the new implementation. Can you remind me what columns it now offers? I don't have Thunderbird with me here right now.
