Setting up hootsuite and adding social networks. But all I get is a blank screen anytime I try to do this. why?
Since updating Firefox, anytime I am on any page and want to share using that pages social media icons, a page does pop up but it is blank. I am trying to add Social Networks with Hootsuite and the twitter worked fine. Adding it to facebook only brings up a blank page. Same with Google+. It did not do this before the latest update and I can go to Google Chrome and do all of this just fine, so it has to be a Firefox thing. I am getting VERY frustrated here!

Here is what I get........
If you use extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) that can block content (e.g. Adblock Plus, NoScript, Flash Block, Ghostery) then make sure that such extensions aren't blocking content.
You can try these steps in case of issues with web pages:
You can reload web page(s) and bypass the cache to refresh possibly outdated or corrupted files.
- Hold down the Shift key and left-click the Reload button
- Press "Ctrl + F5" or press "Ctrl + Shift + R" (Windows,Linux)
- Press "Command + Shift + R" (Mac)
Clear the cache and remove cookies only from websites that cause problems.
"Clear the Cache":
- Firefox/Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Cached Web Content: "Clear Now"
"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:
- Firefox/Tools > Options > Privacy > "Use custom settings for history" > Cookies: "Show Cookies"
Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.
- Switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance
- Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window
It is not a specific webpage. It is anytime I try to use a social icon to share on a social media page like facebook, twitter, etc. For instance, if I want to connect my Facebook page to Etsy or connect my twitter account to another application, or when using Add This buttons to share content....the boxes come up but never connect.
I did all the things you suggested before I asked the original question. This only happened after the last update from Firefox. It all worked before that.
The only other thing I can think of is to restore to the point before I uploaded the last Firefox update.............or go back to google.
