unable to embed HTML after update to 45.0.1
A few days ago, before update to 45.0.1, I was able to copy HTML off a web page and paste, as HTML into an E-Mail. Now, it removes all HTML code and only inserts text!
It appears as if I'm still able to copy and paste a picture, as long as I copy the picture and paste. If I copy a section of HTML code that has that same picture as part of the code and paste that, no picture. I checked all the settings and it says send as HTML as always.
I'm attaching a GIF of an E-Mail I sent 03/15/2016 as it WAS working. It is called Trash_Pickup_Time_Change.gif
Attached is the GIF of and E-Mail I sent today, 03/21/2016, Calendar_as_of_03_21_2016.gif. I had to insert the links one by one as they will NOT copy as part of the HTML code.

Sorry, this is a problem between Firefox 45 and Thunderbird 38 and will be fixed in Thunderbird 45 (still in testing now, probably available about a month from now).
For the time being, pasting into an intermediary application, selecting the HTML there, and copying it again before pasting into Thunderbird appears to be the most commonly employed workaround.
Or if you find it easier to launch the page in IE and copy from there, you can use the Open in IE extension as a way to speed up that process: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/open-in-ie/
Half solves problem. I am now able, via the round about way, to get done, at least the little I tried, The Addon you suggested doesn't appear to work with Firefox Ver 45.0.1. None of the ways to activate work for me.

You mean if you click the little toolbar button, the extension does not launch the page in IE? One possible reason is if it has the wrong program path for IE in its settings. You can access that from the Add-ons page, Extensions list, using the extension's Options button. As shown in the attached screenshot, I actually have it open pages in Google Chrome, since my old IE is only for internal use.
