The menu shows Open in a New Tab, but its disabled, and by habit I inadvertently keep opening whole windows.

Case in point: 1. Click Bookmarks 2. Right click on item 3. See pop up menu with second option reading "Open in a New Tab" 4. Attempt to click on any menu options, nothing happens. 5. Why? Because all options are grey / disabled.

Begs a question: if inadvertently set, why would that ever even be an option?

Thanks for any help.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web Link} by holding down the <Shift>
(Mac=Options)
key, and then starting Firefox. A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh).

Is the problem still there?

Thank you. I have had to do this more than once of late, this time and once a week or so ago when FF asked if I wanted a restart due to an "appearance of taking to long to start up (sic)".
