Why does Google.com keep replacing my homepage?
When I open the Firefox web browser, Google.com is the default web browser. I update the default web browser to another website. When I open additional sessions, the website I added as my home page opens as the home page. When I close all sessions of Firefox then relaunch Firefox, Google.com is reset as the default web browser. I don't use Google.com. I have tried clearing browser history and deleting all cookies but Google.com keeps updating as the default home page.

After the problem is fixed, Bookmark and use this; Mozilla Search Reset. https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/searchreset/
This add-on is very simple: on installation, it backs up and then resets your search preferences and home page to their default values, and then uninstalls itself. This affects the search bar, URL bar searches, and the home page.

I didn't have any Extensions in the Add-on Manager. The only Google program on my PC is Google Chrome. I can't delete it because I need a second web browser so I can have multiple sessions open in the accounting software I use. IE is not certified with the accounting software. After installing the Mozilla add on, my home page stayed as the one I selected until I closed out of Firefox. When I opened a new session, Google.com was once again my home page.
Does the home page setting gets changed in Options/Preferences or is this about the page that opens on startup?
You can check the target line in the Firefox desktop shortcut (right-click: Properties) to make sure nothing is appended after the path to the Firefox program.
You can check for problems with preferences.
Delete possible user.js and numbered prefs-##.js files and rename/remove the prefs.js file to reset all prefs to the default value including prefs set via user.js and prefs that are no longer supported in current Firefox releases.
You can use the button on the "Help -> Troubleshooting Information" (about:support) page to go to the current Firefox profile folder or use the about:profiles page.
