I'm using an existing template with MailChimp to send email newsletters. The same template has worked without problems, but for some reason today the test emails started adding a > at the start of a paragraph. Actually, the campaign is a replicated campaign that just went out today with no problems, only the content has been updated. I am able to see the code and there is no extra >. Additionally, the same email opened in Gmail, Hotmail and Yahoo do not have this extra character. The preview in MailChimp for both desktop and mobile do not have this extra character. I've recreated the content block, retyped the content instead of copy/pasting, and the > shows up again. MailChimp suggested I ask Thunderbird what might cause that to show up in its rendering of the email. There is a line break before the paragraph, but the next photo and caption have the exact same set up and do not have the > showing up in Thunderbird. Any ideas on where this could be coming from?
