Win-10, FF58, screen 1920x - display is terrible!

Since quantum (perhaps earlier) the Win-10 screen display on FF on my other desktop, is terrible. But if I display same page in Chrome or Edge, there is no problem. FF shows text as very ragged- half the pixels appear to me missing. AFAIK, I am using default FF font settings. That screen is 1920x ...

On this screen (1440x900) that am currently using, I have no problem. Both PCs are FF synced.

Any idea why just the Firefox text is badly displayed? I can provide a screen snapshot and FF params if requested.

Huh.. perhaps I should ahev posed this prblem from the offending desktop. ...

You can try to disable hardware acceleration in Firefox.

Close and restart Firefox after modifying the setting to make the change effective.

You can check if there is an update for your graphics display driver and check for hardware acceleration related issues.

If a screenshot shows the issue, that might help. You can provide just a section of the page where the problem is most apparent.

I think Firefox will use ClearType, so your Windows settings may influence how well Firefox smooths text. There also will be differences between fonts. However, I think Firefox does more smoothing than Chrome, so if it's more jaggy, there's some kind of problem.
