I had to recreate my email from a file history (Win 10) back up. All the folders had time stamps as part of the name. I was successful until I started cleaning up folder names (initially as rename) then on directory. Sub directories disappeared form the list of local folders. Checking the properties of the local folders the rename was just a description, but the file location was the folder name with time stamp. Should have looked here first, before renaming time stamp file name without the time stamp. The properties has the location, but is not editable in this location.

Anywhere I can find a place to edit local folder locations?

I looked in my profile, but that's above my pay scale!

When you renamed your sub directories in the file system, did you retain the SDB extension on the folders?

for example the original would have looked like inboc23October2010.sdb. You must have the SDB file extension in the folder names so Thunderbird knows they are supposed to be sub folders in the user interface.

All the folders with subs have the sdb extension Under the properties of the folder (right click on folder) the file location does not have the extension. Editing this file location field is not allowed. Only the folder name (ie the rename function)

I changed the directory name (via windows) with the name it is looking for in this file location field, restarted and it didn't show up.

I also tried the repair folder function to look at msf file. Nothing
