New computer sync or backup then sync?
Firefox's Sync is very buggy so i am worried. support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1200279 https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1200897 If I take a backup(html/json) and import it on new computer and then turn on sync in what direction will sync happen?

Both directions. With Mozilla sync, there is no 'master.' All selected data from all devices/profiles on the sync is shared. Any change on one is sent to all others in the sync.
