I have just installed Thunderbird on my Dell laptop.

When I send an email, using the laptop, from one email account to another, everything looks fine.

When I use my phone to send the email, the receiving account shows the email correctly, but the 'sent' folder of the sending account shows a single roughly twice as long email, top part in HTML, bottom in text.

I _think_ this is a viewing, rather than sending issue - I tried altering lots of settings and the receiving email account was always showing the message correctly.

Please, any ideas?

Sounds like you have defective software on your phone.

When a message is sent using plain text and HTML the Text has to be in the mail first.
