Why does my cursor look like a bunch of c's on their side stacked on top of each other.
My cursor changed to what looks like several C's stacked on top of each other. This is not the case in other browsers, even on the same sites. It just started, and I have no idea what changed.

Note: Windows users should download the ActiveX for Internet Explorer. and the plugin for Plugin-based browsers (like Firefox).
Note: Windows 8 and Windows 10 have built-in flash players and Adobe will cause a conflict. Install the plugin only. Not the ActiveX.

Thank you!
Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web link} by holding down the <Shift> (Mac=Options) key, and then starting Firefox.
A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh). Is the problem still there?
Did you try to close and restart Firefox or reboot the computer?
It is not possible to show the mouse pointer in a screenshot.. at least I haven't ever seen it. Best guess it is a large Caret/text entry. However those options are turned off. I have rebooted my computer, obviously closed and reopened browser. Rebooting will reset the cursor, but shortly after I open my browser, it changes...not immediately, but soon after. I use dual monitors, and the cursor on the other monitor is fine, but will be changed on the monitor the browser was opened on, even when the browser is minimized. The other monitor will be unaffected. If I move the browser to the other monitor, it soon changes too, and both are changed until I reboot.
