Shift + underscore causes the console to pop up constantly. Can't use the shift key properly on Firefox. Some kind of glitch.
Every time I press the shift underscore key, the console keeps popping up when I just need the "____" to appear.

Hi ThatOneGuy2440, I can't think of any tool in Firefox that uses Shift+_ as a hotkey.
What is opening, exactly? Is it the Browser Console window (same as Ctrl+Shift+j), or the Console section of the developer tools (same as Ctrl+Shift+k), or a different tool?
Do you use any add-ons that can intercept and modify the behavior of keyboard shortcuts, such as:

It's Control + Shift + K which opens the Developer Tools. The same thing happens when I press Control + Underscore, for some reason. There's no problems with my hardware, this only happens when I'm on the Firefox browser.

Control + Shift + K works fine, however when I press Shift + Underscore it starts the Developer Tools console as well. Both keys accomplish the same effect.
Is the problem site-specific or does it occur everywhere?
Do you have any hotkey software running outside of Firefox that might change Shift+_ into something else? (Or maybe there's something in Windows 10.)

No, I don't have any any hotkey software running outside of Firefox that might change Shift+. Also, it's not site specific, it happens everywhere.

I tried running the same test on Chrome and Microsoft Egde, but the Developer Console/Tool does not open when I press that key command, only on Firefox.
How long have you had this problem? I notice you got the Firefox 68 update this week. Did it start before that, or with that, or just today?

Before Firefox 68, so the previous update this started. It's continued with the newest update. I haven't had this problem before when using Firefox and I'm not sure if I can edit the keyboard shortcuts to prevent this. It's really annoying to use, to be honest. I can't use the underscore without developer tools opening up.
Hello ThatOneGuy2440,
Stab in the dark, but maybe you inadvertently turned on "Sticky keys" :

Just checked them, they aren't turned on.
Would you take a look at this article, and scroll down to # 10 :

Windows just updated a few days ago; one never knows ......
Does it make a difference whether you use the left Shift key or the right Shift key?

Both shift keys create the same effect and opens up the developer tools
How about my penultimate post (the one where I say to scroll down to # 10) ?

No. My keyboard works fine and it set up correctly. This problem only occurs when I'm on the Firefox browser not the other browsers, Chrome, Egde, etc. My keyboard is not jammed either.
Not giving up just yet ....
This may be a rethorical question, but in Options =>
Privacy & Security => under "Permissions":
Have you checked the box "Prevent accessibility services from accessing your browser" ?
Another thing just came to mind : As the web console comes up when you press Shift plus the minus key : maybe you could provide a screenshot, so others can see if maybe the web console sheds some light on this .....
