I use the latest version of Thunderbird 68.2.2 (32-bit) and i have setup a Gmail account and a hot mail account. The problem is that Thunderbird asks me the Hotmail password more frequently (multiple times a day and every first launch attempt of the program during a day). I always ensure that the remember the password option, but this happens repeatedly.

And with the Gmail account a separate window opens an asks me to input the user name and password of the gmail account.

This makes me feel sick. Kindly help me to resolve the issue. Please verify the screenshots attached.

Thanks in advance.

The browser window that opens for gmail is part of the OAuth2 authentication process that is the default for gmail IMAP account setups. If you enter your address and standard account password, a token will be stored in the password manager. This should only happen once.

The Hotmail password should only need to be entered once if you have checked the box to have it stored. Do you have two-step verification on the account? Is there a password manager involved that's part of a security app, e.g. Avast, on the computer?
