How do I revert single clicking on text in the address bar highlights the text in firefox 75 to the old double-click behaviour?
A single click used to just place the cursor but now it highlights the whole address like the other browsers but I don't like it there either. Why the change?

hi, the behaviour there was brought into line with all other operating systems. unfortunately there is no option to return to the old way: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=333714
I have the same problem, I often click on the address bar to change just part of the path and this version breaks that workflow.
What is the best way to send feedback on the issue?
it would also possible to select part of the url with your mouse without clicking into the address bar first.
The way I use it is to put the text cursor where I want it with the mouse, then use the keyboard to change things (eg: ctrl+delete to remove a word and stuff)
