Hello all, my first post because I am trying to move from Chrome to something less 'information hungry' and up to now Firefox feels like a sensible move.

I have been using AdGuard for about a year and it is good at what it does (on Chrome on Windows and Android). On Windows, Adguard and Firefox seem to work together but when installed on Android they do not play nicely!! Virtually every website is inaccessible due to Security Certificate problems.

There is a solution posted by Adguard to install a security certificate but this is comlex for me as a non IT geek so not happy about even trying that.

Question - if I switch off Adguard on Firefox (this is easy in Adguard settings) does the Firefox HTTPS checker do as good a job with regard to HTTPS requirements over and above HTTP websites? This would be a simple solution (for me) unless anyone can offer an equally (or nearly so) solution.

Any help appreciated. Thanks, Frank

Hi

If you view a site that does serve a HTTPS page, Firefox for Android will indicate this in the addressbar (just tested this for you).

There are also add-ons that can block content like adverts, as well as Enhanced Tracking Protection that is built in that will stop adverts from "following" you between websites and will also block popups.

I hope that this helps.
