When I upgraded Thunderbird to 78.8, I took the precaution of saving the address book so I didn't lose anything. However, now I can't move it back to Thunderbird. Any help appreciated!

why would you want to do anything with your address book post update. I think that is were this needs to start as upgrades do not affect the address book.
