Since your upgrade from 106.0.2 I am unable to correctly play video windows within FF pages. I am using this browser in Linux Mint 21 and the image attached shows a page (Left hand window) where the video playback progress indicator is pushed to the extreme right hand side of the video progress bar. I have lost the ability to start/stop and stop the video playback using the space bar on my keyboard.

Even in full troubleshooting mode, where all extensions etc are disabled, the problem persists. I have checked in another browser (Chromium) and the video controls work with the space bar and the video progress time tracks across the progress bar as the video plays, so I know it is not a specific web site issue, rather it is specifically a FF display issue.

I am sorry if I have not included more information as this is my first question / plea for support .

URL so others can verify the issue but if this requires login that will be hard to diagnosis the problem with the site.

Dear Dropa,

Thank you for your reply. All Alison courses are FREE! It costs nothing to sign up and, select to learn (free) The 'Diploma in C Programming' course and subsequently load https://alison.com/topic/learn/66493/introducing-constants-and-string-literals-in-c which is a page which is also free.

As I said, the web site works perfectly in the dreaded Google based browser Chromium, so there is clearly something FF is doing that breaks the normal video playback operation. I am loath to use Google, since everything you do on it is commercialized, sorry.

My thanks in anticipation of your time!

I show in the two images the difference between Chromium and FF 106.0.3

Video progress in the Chromium image (the first one) shows a correct video progress bar.

Video progress in the FF version can only be shown if the cursor hovers over the Play button. As you can see, the video progress bar is rendered incorrectly, the progress time box which normally tracks across the progress bar , as can be seen in the Chromium image, is in the FF version hard to the right hand end of the progress bar, the whole bar is filled in and if you take the cursor off the play button FF refuses to recognize the keyboard space bar.

Obviously Alison use some sort of video player which is simply not working correctly in FF. It is a specific FF issue.

Anyone got any ideas why?
