Do you still have access to the hard drive of that old device to be able to transfer your personal data to the new device?

Unfortunately I cannot use the old Dell computer's hard drive.  When I tried to install it into my new Dell with the SSD it tells me some section of the HD is not working right.  (I do not know whether such can be fixed as I don't know how to find out exactly what is wrong with it.)  I read somewhere that you might have my old bookmarks which is why I asked.  I just got yesterday an E-mail with this same reference article to my question but I have not yet tried those directions.  Thanks for your help.
