Cannot receive subaddressed emails?
I transitioned to Thunderbird fairly recently, and I've encountered a problem with how I get certain emails. With my old email, I would have certain subscriptions signed up with a subaddressed email, or plus addressed- i.e. "email@domain.com" being the primary account and "email+netflix@domain.com" being for my Netflix account, for instance.
I've noticed that since transitioning, I don't receive any of those subaddressed emails, but when I check on my Macbook (just the default Mail application) all of them are there.
Can anyone help me understand why this is? I like Thunderbird as it's been fairly simple to set up and customize how I like to read my emails, and I'm looking for a solution to this - or an alternative.

The first question that becomes obvious is are these IMAP or POP retrieved mails?
Plus addressing in some instances sees the emails placed in special folders on the server, so differences occur depending on the way the account is configured with regard to IMAP and POP and folder subscriptions.
With my old email
What do you mean your "old email"? If you changed your email provider, that would explain not being able to receive those messages at the server, because not all mail servers support that feature, but if your messages are there on the server and you can see them with some other mail client, then you should be able to see them in Thunderbird too. Thunderbird doesn't care what address the message was sent to, just whether it's on the server or not…

All of my emails are set up to be IMAP, and I've not had issues in the past with this before.

That's what has been bugging at me is that: while I have changed provider, I was able to get them prior to switching to Thunderbird, and am still able to even outside of Thunderbird. Hence why I - someone that rarely uses forums - am here.
And it's only those messages that you don't see in Thunderbird? Do you see all other messages that don't use plus addressing? And the messages you don't see in Thunderbird but can see in Apple Mail, are in the Inbox or are they in some other folder you may not have subscribed to in Thunderbird?
