Hi, my HDD crashed yesterday, I've reinstalled OS X (10.6) on a new HDD, and I have conneced the old HDD as an external device which I can copy files and folders from. I'm trying to copy my old profile to my new HDD, but the folder "user~/Library/Application Support/Firefox/" doesn't exsist! I'm in the correct folder, but there's no folder named Firefox there, and I haven't moved the profile anywhere (it was on default). Where can I find my settings (passwords in particular)?

Best regards Camilla

You can try to look in the same location as your current profile. See http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Firefox

Help > Troubleshooting Information > Profile Directory > Open Containing folder See also Use the Troubleshooting Information page to help fix Firefox issues Copy and Paste this code in the Code field in the "Tools > Error Console" and click the Evaluate button to see the location of the profile folder. alert(Components.classes["@mozilla.org/file/directory_service;1"].getService(Components.interfaces.nsIProperties).get("ProfD", Components.interfaces.nsIFile).path); If you can't find it there then maybe do a disk check for lost files. If your hard disk crashed then it is always possible that the file system got corrupted..
