when i try to go to search results i am redirected to a diff site completly

if i do a search than try to go to that web site by clicking on one of the results i am redirected to other site that doesn't even come close to what i choose. if i type the address in address bar i usually am able to get to right web site. please help

This type of behaviour can be caused by malware. Try running several malware scanners. It is best to run several as each will pick up things that the others miss. Some scanners you can try are:
