When I clear my history in Firefox 3.6.13 I also want to clear all the url's that appear in my URL browser bar, but they are still there. how can I delete them as well?

I have everything selccted in the clear recent history - everything is ticked, but it still does not clear everything. I dont want all my previously searched sites displaying everytime i go to look up a new www. Any guidance on hoe to get rid of this would be really apprecaited. At the moment I have started using safari as I can clear everything when I clear history.

Entries in the location bar drop down list with a yellow (blue on Mac) star at the right end are bookmarks.
You can remove such a bookmarked item that shows in the list if you open that url in a tab and click the yellow star in the location bar.
This will open the Edit This Bookmark dialog and you can click the Remove button to remove the bookmark if you want to remove such a bookmarked entry.
