I only mentioned a proxy server so you can test if that helps.
If that works then you may have a problem with images being cached somewhere along the connection.
There is no need to pay for a proxy as there are a lot of free proxy sites across the internet.

Reload web page(s) and bypass the cache to refresh possibly outdated or corrupted files.

  • Press and hold Shift and left-click the Reload button.
  • Press "Ctrl + F5" or press "Ctrl + Shift + R" (Windows,Linux)
  • Press "Command + Shift + R" (MAC)

Does it work properly in Private Browsing mode (PB mode doesn't used the disk cache and stored cookies)?

I did all that was suggested and it still gives me maps from 28 Oct.

Sounds that the image is cached somewhere.

Does this also happen if you open the image directly?

You can remove all stored data from a specific domain via "Forget About This Site" in the right-click context menu of an history entry (Show All History or History sidebar) or via the about:permissions page.

Using "Forget About This Site" will remove everything like bookmarks, cookies, passwords, cache, history, and exceptions from that domain, so be cautious and if you have a password or other data from that domain that you do not want to lose then make a note of those passwords and bookmarks.
You can't recover from that "forget" unless you have a backup of the affected files.

It doesn't have any lasting effect, so if you revisit such a 'forgotten' website then data from that website will be saved once again.

Even opening directly it is still the same. I tried to find this forget about the web site but can't find it on my computer. I have fire fox ver. 16 It is bad with hurricane season here and can't see an updated map

Can you see the current version of that image in other browsers?

It is possible that your ISP or your router has a cached version of that image.

You can try to reset (power off/on) the router.
You can try to clear the disk cache manually, see the about:cache page for the location.

You can try to reset Firefox.

I rebooted the router, deleted the cash and done a fire fox reset. Also the image is also in other browsers.

It sounds more that your ISP is caching the image.

Any luck with a Google Translate version of the page and a random source language?

If it still doesn't work then may may need to go to that site via a proxy server.

I just went to another weather site and it to is out of date this weather fax is for Oct 25

just tried the translate and I get the same image

You will have to contact your ISP and ask them to look into this if it happens in other browsers as well.

I don't want to pay for a proxie server if there is another way because if this is not the problem I have wasted money

I found a free proxy server and it did the trick. Thank you for your help

You're welcome.

Maybe still contact your ISP to check if they are caching images and don't obey the request header that Firefox sends to reload and bypass the cache (Pragma: no-cache and Cache-Control: no-cache).
It is a bad idea if you get outdated images from a cache instead of the current version.
