Can I get firefox without having to have Yahoo?

I do not like yahoo or their stuff. Google chrome was conflicted with our computer. Now the Yahoo is conflicting with the computer. Any suggestions. I like Firefox but I need something besides Yahoo and Google chrome.

You can absolutely use any search engine you like.

First, update to Firefox 23 Update Firefox to the latest release, then read Search bar - add, change and manage search engines on Firefox to choose which search engine you'd like.

It sounds like you may have installed a 3rd party Yahoo-optimized version of Firefox, rather than an official build which can be obtained directly from Mozilla. If you check Help > About Firefox you may find wording about Yahoo in that dialog box.
