I am facing this problem in MAC OS Mozilla Firefox. It is displaying correctly in other browsers like google chrome and internet explorer in MAC OS,but it is not displaying correctly in Mozilla firefox. I already checked the possible reasons like: 1. Restarted my computer 2. Clear cookies and cache 3. Restarted Firefox in Safe Mode 4. Troubleshoot all plugins 5. Reinstalled Firefox 6. Reset Firefox. anyone know how to fix this issue.I am waiting for your valuable answers.

Is the server converting the PowerPoint content to individual HTML elements, or a static image, or using a plugin such as Silverlight to render the content?

Or, if it is converted to PDF, maybe it's related to the problem in this thread: PDF not displaying correctly when opening in Firefox (unsolved) (created from PowerPoint).

Did you check the Web Console (Firefox/Tools > Web Developer;Ctrl/Command+Shift+K) for errors related to this issue?

After opening web console it doesn't showing any error or warnning ,the window is empty. Is it mean that there is no any css or javascript error in my page?

Looking at your screen shot it reminds me of a problem with Flash on the Retina display not using the full area if hardware acceleration of graphics is disabled. See I'm only getting one quarter of a screen on Flash Player on Firefox (unsolved).

Not sure if that's relevant but does the display of the slide change if you make sure that hardware acceleration is enabled? The checkbox is here:

Firefox menu > Prefences > Advanced

On the "General" mini-tab, uncheck the box for "Use hardware acceleration when available"

Note that any changes take effect after you exit and restart Firefox.

To see whether Firefox actually is using hardware acceleration, you can check the troubleshooting information. Either:

  • Help > Troubleshooting Information
  • type or paste about:support in the address bar and press Enter

Toward the end, in the Graphics section, look for this row:

GPU Accelerated Windows

The number will show a ratio of accelerated to non-accelerated window. If hardware acceleration is disabled, the first number will always be zero.

By the way, is the SharePoint PPT viewer using Flash, or Silverlight, or another plugin? Typically Firefox will display an icon that looks a bit like a "Lego" block in the address bar showing what plugins are in use in the page.

I'm at a disadvantage not having a Mac and not having a Sharepoint site. There is a similar PowerPoint Web App available to users of the free SkyDrive service. If you open this presentation, does it seem to be laid out correctly?

(Apologies for the glacially slow transitions; it works nicely in PowerPoint 2010 on the desktop...)

Most of it is static, but Slide 4 has some random textboxes overlaid and Slide 9 has four text boxes that slide up. (Screen shots attached.) Does it look okay on Mac? Can you identify the kinds of elements that do not lay out correctly?

At least for me, the slide render uses the Silverlight plugin. As mentioned previously, this is indicated by the plugin icon on the address bar, and is borne out by the Inspector. (Screen shot attached.)

Hi neelam12345, I'm pretty sure your presentation requires the Silverlight plugin -- I don't think this is a choice you make, but the way the Web App works. If I disable Silverlight on the site using the address bar icon, then reload the page, Slide 1 does not appear and I get a message from Firefox to enable Silverlight. (Screen shot attached.)

What version of Silverlight are you running? You can check the Add-ons page, or the plugin check page, or my test page (scroll down to see the plugins list):

I'm on Linux, so I can't test this properly as there is no MS software (including Silverlight) for Linux although PowerPoint presentations should work in Libre Office for Linux.
