Why when I bookmark a page and return to it later, the star I clicked to bookmark it is no longer yellow, but I didn't delete the bookmark?

When I bookmark a page by clicking the star on the Awesome Bar, it turns yellow. But when I return to the page that I just bookmarked, it's no longer yellow; it's transparent. But, I didn't delete the bookmark, so I have no idea why it's no longer bookmarked. Can someone help me out with this? Thank you!

It is possible that you got redirected to another web page.

Does this bookmark still show up in the folder where you saved it or is it gone there as well?

You can check for problems with the places.sqlite database file in the Firefox profile folder.

It shows up in the folder I saved it to, the star just turns transparent, like I never bookmarked it. It makes me think I never bookmarked it, so I bookmark it again, not knowing it's already saved in the folder.

Does the URL change from the URL in bookmark if you double-click this bookmark to open the link in a tab?
