I click on the bookmarks star but it does not turn yellow
It use to work just fine ,just click on the star and it would turn yellow but now when I click on the star it does nothing just stays transparent

Does the star get highlighted if you visit a bookmarked link?
Do you otherwise have issues with the bookmarks or history?
Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).
- Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window.

You can check for problems with the places.sqlite database file in the Firefox profile folder.
