All of the sudden I have checkered patterns tearing up my firefox browser.

Im using dual monitors (the screenshot only shows my right monitor)

My comp has been up and running stable for 5 months w/out any issues ever

system specs. Win 7 ult i7 3770k OCd 4.5ghz 16gb DDR3 Ram Sapphire HD 7970 OC w/ boost 3gb DDR5 Graphics card 850w power supply fully custom water cooling low temps 35c under load. SSD boot drive, 7200rpm storage drives

hello, that looks like an issue with hardware acceleration. please try updating your graphics driver - this should be the right link for your configuration: [http://support.amd.com/en-us/download/desktop?os=Windows%207%20-%2064
or in case this doesn't solve the issue disable hardware acceleration in firefox > options > advanced > general.

I restarted my computer and issue hasnt repeated yet. Also I get my drivers from sapphire, not AMD

Note that such issues can also be caused by overheating of the graphics display card, so if you have tweaked settings then try a setting with less strain. You can also check the temperature of the GDU if that is possible.

as I said, I have a custom liquid cooling system with constant temp monitoring. My highest temp in my comp is 35c.
