Hello,

I am experiencing discoloration on the top left corner of my firefox browser theme when I am in "full screen view". The discoloration disappears when I exit from full screen mode to "window view". This discoloration is happening on every theme I enable. I have attached two pictures to show what I am seeing between the full screen view and window view.

I am running Windows 11 and have a 32" curved monitor. I searched for solutions such as disabling hardware acceleration, but nothing seems to be working.

Any help would be really appreciated!

My trash refuses to stay deleted. I delete it and close Thunderbird. The next time I log in, it's back in the Trash folder. This has been going on for over a week.

I have had Thunderbird for years so I know that it isn't in my settings. What is going on?

Bookmarks deleted

I had to re-install Windows and so I downloaded Firefox again and logged in to my account. I had sync turned on with bookmarks enabled but it wasn't syncing my bookmarks to my computer. I double checked that these sync settings were enabled on the Firefox app on my phone and I tried syncing multiple times. It transferred my passwords and other data but not my bookmarks. So I logged out of Firefox on my computer and phone, then logged back in and synced them together only to find that Firefox deleted all my bookmarks from my account completely (now they don't show up on my phone either). I looked at the forums and saw that they make separate profiles that I could access with about:profiles so I opened that and only saw 2 profiles, neither of which have my bookmarks. Is there a way to recover these since Firefox deleted them out of no where?

I have been using Private Browsing to read https://www.dailymail.co.uk for years because it blocks the adds. Now for the second time in years it seems to block a part of the page I don't want it too block. And for the life of me I cant remember if I did something to fix it the first time or Mozilla fixed it. Anyway the problem does not show up in ordinary Firefox but the adds make it so hard to concentrate while they keep flashing on and off all the time. So I have attached two screen shots to show the difference between the two Ordinary & Private. Any ideas very welcome. Thanks. First one shows the comment section that I want to see the second shows Private not showing them. Same story, day ect

Since January 8th, 2025 I have not been able to send or receive mail on a regular basis out of Thunderbird. the strange thing is sometimes I can start Thunderbird and it will maybe download current messages, but won't work the rest of the day. Even getting a once in awhile batch of e-mail, I can't send anything at anytime. I don not have a problem going to Earthlink.net/webmail and reading my mail there, but it is not always easy to do this.....thus Thunderbird!!

Thunderbird is up to date.

server: pop.ix.netcom.com on port 110 connectin security as None

Encrypted password checked.  

My outgoing server is amtpauth.earthlink.net port 587 authentication method: Encrypted password connection Security None.

All of this has not changed since mozilla made changes years ago and they are the same settings that are reccommended by Mozilla Thunderbird for the ix.netcom.com people. 

I sure have to have to move to another progam, but I can't keep putting up with this. Hopefully someone can help!! I've added images of my settings and also of the error message I get when trying to send mail. BTW We had about 5 sessions with the India help desk at which we kept getting cut off. When finally getting to chat with someone....they had no answers, they said they would esculate the problem and someone would call in 24 hrs. That never happened...The case ID # 203683399 NO ONE EVER RESPONDED and so the problem persists.

I am having trouble sending emails. I receive a message saying "The message could not be sent because connecting to Outgoing server (SMTP) smtp.optusnet.com.au failed. The server may be unavailable or is refusing SMTP connections. Please verify that your Outgoing server (SMTP) settings are correct and try again. I am not aware that I have changed any settings. I can receive emails okay but have not been able to send them since 12 January 2025. Please help.

I didn't know there was a non-ESR version of Thunderbird until I found out by chance a few days ago! Since the latest update to ESR 128.5.2 has crashed 11 times this week, I would like to move to the latest version (64 bit?) non-ESR. The entire web seems to be creepy beyond belief! The stock in trade is my life. I don't want you people spending your time trying to dream up ways to build the cheese that leads me into your maze. I just want to buy a product. I want that product to work for years. It should be reliable not flashy. Why is that so hard these days? When did we become people who would accept junk that needed to constantly be repaired after purchase? Why does an upgrade do exactly the same thing it's predecessor did, but more slowly and requiring more resources? Why can companies build something and then a few years down the road simply stop supporting it? Here in the US car companies were required to support their products for 15 years. As expensive as phones have become and as disruptive as changing operating systems is we need similar legislation in the tech industry. Google needs to be broken up and not be the hub of the internet. No matter where I go in the net my browser always goes to google first. That's just creepy. So please someone just offer a product that doesn't make me a product by it's use.
