Hello. It's a known issue already, but i will share it once again.

When i switch to a different app and then come back to Firefox, the tabs always reload and any process or pending task is lost.

That's a huge problem because it's impossible to copy and paste codes from an authenticator, fill any text to a form or simply continue watching a paused video. The tab simply reload and you lose everything.

It's very annoying because it doesn't happen to any other browser. I'm a longterm user of Firefox for many years, but this is my only complain.

Dear developers, please do something to fix this issue.

Thank you !

Hi, I've spent hours and days trying to delete the contents of Firefox's Other Bookmarks folder. I've asked questions and read many replies. I'm only getting suggestions on: how to remove the Other Bookmarks folder from the Bookmarks Toolbar - fairly obvious:) - also that to delete a bookmark just highlight and delete, or CtrlA to select multiple links and delete again fairly obvious. I've also seen long lists of Firefox coding changes I can check and/or apply.

Actually I want Firefox to just work, and NOT save every single website, every single page within a website that I look at, every search I make, and every download I make - as a 'bookmark' If I want to have a folder of unsorted bookmarks I can make one in Bookmarks Menu - in fact I have, it's called Recent tabs for ref, and it contains bookmarks that I'VE chosen to save. I know some people may find Other Bookmarks useful but I want to choose what I bookmark; all the bookmarks I've saved are then saved in named folders.

My problem is this: after using Firefox for years, the other bookmarks folder is now so huge that it's not possible to import all bookmarks into another browser; editing (deleting) the contents of the Other Bookmarks folder is taking ages, I can highlight up to about 500 max links at a time, this takes about 10 mins for the operation to complete and the CPU usage is massive and causing high temperature warnings.

I hadn't realised that webpages were being saved without me choosing to do so - I've always used History for random stuff I may want to look at again. The upshot is that I noticed the other day that Other Bookmarks contained over 18000 links - to practically every site I've ever been to, and transferred from one laptop to another over the years. So fullmarks Firefox for the integrity of the bookmarks database, but please, is there a fix to quickly delete the Other bookmarks folder and its contents, and just stop it from saving stuff I don't want? People seem to have been asking this for years, could we have an answer please? Before my PC burns down? Thank you

Starting early this morning I could not open a website (where I purchase supplements) I have accessed in the recent past. I added the address to the DNS listing but that didn't help. In the verification lock icon in front of the address it says the connection is secure. But below it states the Connection verified by a certificate issuer that is not recognized by Mozilla. Prior to 1/22/25, I had no issues opening this or other websites. It doesn't matter if I have my VPN turned off or not, the website does not open. Was the Mozilla update of 1/22 the cause? If so, how do I rectify the issue I currently have? If not, how do I rectify the issue I have?

Using Windows 11, Bitdefender for virus protection. Everything was excellent for months and then started having trouble doing any search using Firefox. For awhile rebooting 1-3 times and it would work. In the last week a dozen reboots doesn't work. Maybe later in day rebooting a couple of times I get access. Using DuckDuckgo for search. Tried using other search without success, which seems to point more to Firefox. If go to Bing or other browsers, work find. Tax season and need access. Downloaded Brave to get by for now.

I use Firefox 134.0.2 (64-bit) on Ubuntu 24.04.

Some (not all) web sites show up only after a delay of exactly 30 seconds. The attached screenshot shows that this delay is due to DNS resolution. This behavior is reproducible by simply closing Firefox, opening it again and entering the same web site once more. Once this initial delay of 30 seconds for DNS resolving has passed the web site can be browsed normally.

Using Google Chrome, Opera or even the Tor Browser on the same system works without any significant delay. Also a DNS lookup from the console returns data almost immediately.

As the delay is always exactly 30 seconds this looks like some DNS resolver timeout only showing up when using Firefox.

Neither starting Firefox in Troubleshoot Mode nor (as often suggested) disabling IPV6 for DNS by setting network.dns.disableIPv6 to true did help.

Any idea how to fix this 30 seconds delay?

Many thanks for any help, Felix

So when I installed Firefox for iOS (to go with my Firefox desktop browser), it always requested desktop sites. At first I thought it was just a gimmick. All browsers have one. Chrome has the gimmick of sending your info to who knows, and edge has the gimmick of being stuck on windows 11 and having an ad blocker on mobile. But it got annoying and I don’t think it’s supposed to do this. PLEASE HELP!
