The new tab page is a disaster. No gear obvious and I do not have the time to go thru several steps to get rid of a bunch of I stuff I neither need nor want..help!!

I asked this question on the Thunderbird Android stream but thought I might copy it here as well.

I recently switched from the Samsung email to the Thunderbird on my phone and I love the app. However, I would like to figure out how I can delete an email on my phone without it deleting it on my desktop version of Thunderbird (IMAP) or on the server that is offsite. I'm sure there is a setting somewhere but I can't find it.

I'm using my MX master 3's sidescroll to control the volume. I recently switched to firefox, but I noticed that the volume function doesn't work when mozilla is the active app. I do not have mozilla specific settings and it works with other browsers. Any solutions?

My colleague is trying to configure her settings to auto-delete messages. When she clicks on "delete message more than - days old" the setting is preset to 30 days, and she receives a pop up asking if she's sure she wants to auto-delete the messages. She wants to change the number of days to 365, but she isn't able to until she selects OK on the pop-up. If she selects okay, will it start deleting messages more than 30 days old since that's what it's set to when clicks OK? Is there a way to disable the pop-up until she changes the number of days?

I wish to undo the changes to the sidebar introduced with release 136. I want a sidebar for bookmarks, but the Bookmark Sidebar per se, not the multi-functional Sidebar that has replaced it. The new version takes up unnecessary screen space even when I only select bookmarks. I have Firefox installed with Windows 11.

I'm a user of a site where I have ended up with a lot of accounts. I use the container extension to make it so I can have each account logged in simultaneously. However, since I added the accounts in a random order, the list is in nothing approaching alphabetical order. There are so many now it makes it hard to find them; plus I have containers I use for other sites. The only way I can find to reorder them is to remove and remake the containers in alphabetical order. I think it would be useful to make it so in the settings page there was the ability to grab a handle on the left-hand side of the container listing and drag it to be where you want it in the list.

I just got a new PC. On my old Windows 10 PC, many add-ons add useful buttons, for example OneTab which adds a button that closes all tabs and compiles a list of what was there, or Zotero, which lets me send stuff online to my Zotero citation database.

Now on my new Windows 11 PC, even though those add ons are installed and technically functional, I can't find the buttons anywhere. I wanted all that stuff on my toolbar for a reason. All I can find are convoluted keyboard shortcuts. I don't want to use a bunch of stupid keyboard shortcuts when I'm supposed to be able to just push a button for the same functionality.

Where did all my buttons go and how do I put them back? No, they are not in the "customize toolbar" option, and I have checked the options menus for my most important add ons too.

I use 128.7.1esr (64-bit) on Windows 11 23H2. OS Name Microsoft Windows 11 Home Version 10.0.22631 Build 22631 I use two monitors: Monitor 1 is physically straight in front of me, and Monitor 2 is to the left, so in Settings > System > Display the box on the right is numbered 1, and the box on the left is numbered 2.

Since the latest TB update, each time I switch on the PC in the morning, TB (and FF) open on Monitor 2, even though I closed them down on Monitor 1 the previous night. This behaviour used to happen occasionally, now it seems to happen every time. Also, occasionally during the day, the TB Reminders window will jump to Monitor 2 while it's minimised.

I suppose the first question is - is this a TB/FF problem or a Windows problem? I'm thinking it must be a TB/FF problem, because this behaviour only seems to be happening with them.

Any suggestions would be welcome.

how do i restore the red save button on articles for pocket? It's blank now. The last mozilla update for firefox removed them and they are now hidden behind the three dot thing requiring extra clicks. How do I put it back how it was before? I don't like extra clicks. The kids who design this crap must have a lot of extra time to click three times to do what one click on the screen worked fine, but they always have to mess with it and make everything hidden, take longer and be more tedious. Stop this madness. How do I get it back how it was before they wrecked it?????? HELP

When I open a PDF in Firefox, a box covers the right half the page demonstrating the highlighter tool. It never leaves. It blocks half the page and prevents me from reading and/or printing. Please help. It's making my work impossible.

I am on ipad and i use an azerty keyboard. In Firefox however, the input is set to qwerty and i have found no way to change it. This is a problem i only have in Firefox.

Bonjour, Sur mon ordinateur portable (sous Windows 11), l'option "Afficher les aperçus d’onglets dans la barre des tâches de Windows" fonctionne bien sur l'écran principal du laptop, mais sur mon écran externe je vois depuis quelque temps une liste verticale d'intitulés de sites au lieu des aperçus normalement alignés horizontalement.

Comment obtenir l'affichage "normal" sur mon deuxième écran ?

Je joins les images des deux écrans, avec la même session Firefox et le curseur sur l'icône de la barre des tâches.

Hallo. Ich habe die aktuelle Version von Thunderbird auf meinem Tablet installiert und bei der Eingabe meiner E-Mail Konten, eine Adresse 2 x eingegeben. Ich finde keine Möglichkeit die doppelte Adresse zu löschen. Wie muss ich vorgehen. Entschuldigen Sie das ich in deutsch schreibe, aber mein Englisch ist zu schlecht.

Knowing this is the "ask the community" 's Thread, but don't know where else has official place to share about Thunderbird's info.

For those who wonder how to change this settings (View message in new window), I had searched up and down the net there is no new updated method has been shared.

It is easy and here is settings to change: Click at upper right corner resembles "Hamburger" icon > Settings > General > Scroll down till "Open messages in:" > Select "A new message window".
