Thunderbird email has always worked for me up until a week ago and then nothing. double click on the desktop icon and nothing would happen. Now after trying the compatibility troubleshooting after i double click it will say " do you want to allow thunderbird to make changes to your harddrive" click yes and still nothing. I cannot get it to open at all.

have you tried simply reinstalling it?
