The latest version of Firefox on my Win 7 PC is rubbish - websites often don't load, and sometimes when they do I have to left click somewhere on the screen to display the content. I have reinstalled 32.0.3 and it works perfectly. 31.0 works perfectly on my Linux systems.

I have just installed Firefox on my Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 tablet, and the behaviour is the same - websites don't load, and when they do I have to touch the screen to see the content. I have uninstalled Firefox as it's unusable.

I would like to use Firefox on my android tablet, so would like to install whatever release is equivalent to the 32.0.3 PC release.

Where can I download it from?

Thanks,

Kevin

PS I think Firefox is a great browser, and I have it installed on all my Win7 and Linux systems. However, the latest release is so bad that if it isn't sorted, then I'll move to another browser

Hi Kevin,

Here's a link to download Firefox 32.0.3. Just click the right locale for you (ie British English is en-GB, American English is en-US, etc) and then download the apk file. http://download.cdn.mozilla.net/pub/mozilla.org/mobile/releases/32.0.3/android/

But it's a good idea to use the most up-to-date version if you can, as old versions won't have the latest security updates, etc.

If you have a moment, could you help us try to get to the bottom of your issues? Do you have any extensions or plugins installed in Firefox? Sometimes Firefox's bad behaviour can be caused by an out-of-date extension or plugin.

Thanks

Hi,

Thanks for the link. I installed 32.0.3 and it didn't work either. I've also installed the latest Firefox beta, and that doesn't work.

The problem is that websites don't load. The orange bar at the top of the screen starts moving when I enter a URL, then stops. I get a Server Not Found message every time.

Both the Samsung and Chrome browsers work perfectly. The internet connection is good.

I have a brand new Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 - model SM-T700. Android V4.4.2, Kernel V3.4.39-2254254. There are no Firefox add-ons.

I've also just had exactly the same results with an identical 'fresh out of the box' Galaxy Tab S 8.4

I'd really like to sort this out, so would appreciate any assistance you can offer.

Also, please let me know if I can be of assistance by providing log files etc

Regards

Kevin
