I cannot get to Inbox. Iam stuckon Semt. How do I change to Inbox?

The "mode" is indicated in a box at the upper left of the home page. In my case the mode is stuck in Sent. Clicking on any other choice does nothing. How can I change to Inbox , or any other mode?

QUIT/EXIT the Thunderbird and reopen it
