The title tells the story already but let me explain it carefully

--- ---

The situation is as follow:

I have a local template folder.

In the local template folder there is an template email.

After editing the template I want to re-save as template (rewriting the existing version).

---

However when pressing save the template is saved into the draft folder of the email account that is used as the default email account. In other words when pressing save the template is saved into the account (draft folder) of the selected recipient. When unchanged the save location is the draft folder of the default account.

---

You can change the recipient to another account. However the pity is that there is no option to select the 'local template folder' as recipient. Also there is no option in the menu sub tree '[file] > [save as] > ...' to save it to an local location, for example '[file] > [save as] > [save locally]'. Although you can save it to an html file this is not what you want. Yes the message is saved locally, but it is corrupted. The images are gone, there is no way to import it again and as html file it is not possible to edit or reuse the template as new message. Also this method is way to complicated.

---

You can use an add-on to export the email to your pc and import it again. By doing so you can edit as new message or save it in a drafts folder. Or you can save it into an email account (which takes relatively a long time) and move it again to another folder (which takes also more time).

But these so called workaround are no solutions because they are to complicate and take to much time and (other) resources.

---

Did I miss something? Or is there a solution that I didn't found?

This is basic stuff that should work out of the box for an email software or does it not?

When finished editing the template:

Menu: File: Save As: Template

It will save as a new template e-mail. Just delete the old one.
