xpcom.dll error on startup of Thunderbird
When I started Thunderbird yesterday I was getting a missing xpcom.dll message. I updated my browser software a short while later and the message went away when I started Thunderbird. The problem I'm now getting it that when I run the mail program, I can only view and access the content of one folder. For example if I am accessing the Inbox and then click on Drafts, I can no longer access any of the files in the Inbox and can't see anything in the Drafts folder or any other folder. It looks like the program is completely frozen, but all the menu dropdowns work fine and I can close the program, but when I restart it I again can only access a single folder. I also seem to have lost the options buttons that were present when I opened an email. It appears that the missing dll is the issue, but there doesn't seem to be a solution offered on the site so I'm a bit lost as to what to do.

Delete the "Mozilla Thunderbird" program directory (not the profile directory), then reinstall from https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/thunderbird/
Thanks Wayne. I'm still getting the same things happening when I start Thunderbird.
Perhaps something in https://www.google.com/search?q=+xpcom.dll+error+thunderbird&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8 wil help
